Bayview Village is an affluent, family-oriented neighbourhood located close to the East Don Valley Parklands in North York.
Bayview Village started as a small farming community in the 1800s and to this day, one of the area's first dwellings; The Clark House, built circa 1885, still remains at 9 Barberry Place.
The neighbourhood, was conceived in 1954 to be "contemporary living in the countryside" by Farlinger Development Ltd. It's planner, Dr. E. G. Faludi, designed a street pattern that would follow the natural contours of the land, highlighting its natural beauty. He also designed the neighbourhoods of Rexdale, Thorncrest Village, and Humber Valley in Toronto.
For trivia buffs, it is important to note that many of the street within Bayview Village such as Citation, Candida and Bunty Lane are named after famous horse races.
Bayview Village sits in a beautiful pocket south of Finch Avenue East. With its western boundary bordered by Bayview Avenue and Leslie Street framing the east, Bayview Village stretches south to the 401. Meandering through the neighbourhood is the East branch of the Don River with several beautiful forested walking paths.
The Bayview Village neighbourhood boasts serene, beautiful, tree-lined streets that host a mix of raised and ranch style bungalows, split-level houses and Georgian Revival-style homes. Mature cedar, birch, willow, pine and spruce trees populate glorious ravine lots highlighted by spectacular park land views.

The Bayview Avenue subway stop, located on the Sheppard line provides instant access to the TTC with bus services also providing connecting routes to stations on the Yonge-University-Spadina subway line.
For those driving, travel time downtown via Yonge Street or Bayview Avenue is roughly twenty-five minutes. On-ramps to Highway 401 are located off of Bayview Avenue, Yonge Street and Leslie Street.
